IQ Middle School

Welcome to the 2026 Virginia Middle School VIQRC State Championship. This is a one-day event held at the Nysmith School in Herndon, VA. This event is free and open to the public. We are looking forward to an exciting day of competition. Teams must qualify for the State Championship by participating in a regional event by March 1st, 2025. Teams qualify by winning Event Region Championship qualifying awards at a regional tournament or by invitation based on the highest skills scores posted in Virginia during the season.

7:00 am – Doors Open

7:00 am – 8:30 am – Check-in, Inspections, Practice Fields Open

9:00 am – 9:30 am – Opening Ceremony, Drivers Meeting, Match Schedule distribution (Practice Fields Closed)

10:00 am – 4:00 pm – Skills Fields Open – Max of 3 attempts per type. Skills Fields close after the last qualification match. If the last qualification match is complete before 4:00 pm, the Skills Fields will close right after the last qualification match, which may be before 4:00 pm.

10:00 am – 12:00 pm – Qualification Matches

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm – Lunch Break (Skills Fields closed)

1:00 pm – 4:00 pm – Qualification Matches. Skills Fields close after the last qualification match. If the last qualification match is complete before 4:00 pm, the Skills Fields will close right after the last qualification match, which may be before 4:00 pm.

4:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Finals & Awards

5:00 pm – Event clean up
